DIY Non-Toxic Bleach Recipe

Lemon Juice (fresh or bottled) – ¼ cup

Why: Acts as a natural bleaching agent, boosts stain-removal power, and provides a fresh scent.

White Vinegar – ¼ cup

Why: Natural disinfectant and deodorizer. It helps remove odors and breaks down tough stains.

Water – 10 cups

Why: Dilutes the mixture to make it safe for everyday cleaning and laundry use.

Essential Oils (optional) – 10-20 drops

Why: Add antimicrobial properties and a pleasant scent. Lemon, tea tree, or lavender essential oils are ideal.

Instructions:

Combine the ingredients:

In a large container or bottle, mix 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide with 10 cups of water.

Add ¼ cup of lemon juice and ¼ cup of white vinegar.

If desired, add 10-20 drops of essential oils for fragrance and added antibacterial properties.

Shake well:

Gently shake the mixture to combine all ingredients. The solution will be ready to use immediately.

How to Use:

Laundry:

Add 1-2 cups of the mixture to your washing machine to whiten whites, brighten colors, and disinfect fabrics. It's safe for most fabrics but test on delicate materials first.

Disinfecting Surfaces:

Pour the solution into a spray bottle and use it to disinfect countertops, bathrooms, and floors. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before wiping off with a clean cloth.

Stain Removal:

Spray directly on tough stains (e.g., mildew, grease) and let it sit for 15 minutes before scrubbing or rinsing.

Benefits:
